Electrical Engineering Libraries

The University of Minnesota Library System, with over 3.5 million volumes, is one of the 13 largest university collections in the United States. Bibliographic and other services of professional librarians are available to graduate students, and the library system is an invaluable asset for serious research. The main library site is http://www.lib.umn.edu and the Science and Engineering Library is available at http://sciweb.lib.umn.edu/. The physical sciences and engineering collections are housed primarily in Walter Library. Institute of Technology librarians in Walter Library will be happy to discuss the collections and explain how to use the library services (including LUMINA). Students need a University identification card to withdraw books or periodicals from the library system.

The Department maintains a collection of theses of our graduate students and these are available for you to check out. Please see the receptionist in 4-174 EE/CSci Bldg. if you would like to check out a thesis from the department.

Quoting and Paraphrasing Sources

QuickStudy: Citing Sources
This resource from the U of M Libraries defines accidental plagiarism and offers tips for avoiding it.

“What are you telling your readers?”
